Amy Stoddart, owner

Amy Stoddart brings more than thirty-five years of experience in ballet and movement education to Bridger Pilates. Her Pilates journey began as part of her own rehabilitation from a broken foot during her professional ballet career, where she discovered the transformative benefits of mindful movement, strength, and mobility. Since then, Pilates has remained central to both her personal wellness and professional teaching philosophy.

Amy completed her comprehensive STOTT PILATES® training through the Pacific Northwest Pilates Center in Portland, Oregon, earning certifications in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels. She is also certified in ZEN•GA® and Total Barre®. Her continued education includes specialized training in scoliosis management, breast cancer rehabilitation programming, prenatal and postnatal Pilates, senior adaptations, athletic conditioning, and myofascial techniques for injury prevention and postural alignment.

With a background rooted in both performance and education, Amy works with clients ranging from adolescents to active older adults, including elite athletes, dancers, postpartum mothers, and individuals recovering from injury. Her experience includes working with Olympians, NCAA athletes, NFL and NHL players, professional golfers, and performers from Broadway and film. Amy’s approach blends technical expertise with thoughtful, individualized instruction designed to help clients move with strength, efficiency, and confidence.

Amy holds a BA in Dance from Mercyhurst University and an MFA in Dance from University of Colorado Boulder. She previously served as Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator at University of Oregon, specializing in ballet technique and dance history. In Montana, she has served as Co-Artistic Director, Director of Community Outreach, and Artist in Residence with Montana Ballet Company and continues to teach advanced ballet at the Montana Ballet Academy.

Living in Montana with her family, Amy enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, rafting, and spending time outdoors. Her love for movement and active living informs her belief that caring for the body is essential to fully enjoying life, longevity, and the adventures the Rocky Mountains have to offer.
